In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, attentive care while fostering a safe, nurturing environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in early childhood education, behavior management, and activity planning while building rewarding relationships with families and community members. Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote developmental milestones, creativity, social skills, and physical activity. Ensure safety by adhering to childhood development best practices, child supervision standards, and mandated reporting laws. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to update them on their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns. Maintain a clean, organized environment that supports early childhood education principles and daycare standards. Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure the health and safety of children. Support behavioral management strategies to foster positive interactions and emotional regulation among children. Qualifications Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs. Knowledge of childhood development stages and early childhood education techniques. Certifications in First Aid and CPR are required; ongoing training is encouraged. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with parents and team members. Ability to plan age-appropriate activities tailored for toddlers through elementary school-age children. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior positively while maintaining a nurturing environment. $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
