Job Description
Personal Care Assistant Mazik Group, LLC Mazik Group, LLC is seeking dependable and professional Personal Care Assistants to provide structured student support within public school settings in Chester County. This role focuses on supporting student engagement, regulation, transitions, and independence during the school day. This is not a home health or assisted living position. Work is school-based and follows daytime academic schedules. We are intentional in our hiring and maintain high standards in professionalism and performance. Position Overview Personal Care Assistants provide direct, structured support to students in elementary, middle, or high school settings depending on placement needs. PCAs will collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to support student success. This is a school-year position aligned with the academic calendar. Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available based on district needs. Responsibilities Provide direct student support during classroom instruction and school activities Assist with transitions, task completion, and classroom engagement Implement behavior support plans as written Collect accurate and objective data Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries Collaborate professionally with teachers, administrators, and supervisors Support students during less structured times such as lunch or recess Behavioral Expectations This role may involve supporting students during moments of behavioral escalation or emotional dysregulation. Candidates must be comfortable remaining calm, regulated, and professional in these situations while following established support plans and safety procedures. Not every candidate will find this work to be the right fit. The role requires patience, consistency, and emotional steadiness. Physical Requirements Ability to remain active throughout the school day, including standing and walking within the building Ability to assist with student transitions and movement between locations Occasional lifting or physical assistance may be required depending on student needs Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Ability to obtain and maintain the following Pennsylvania school clearances: PA State Police Criminal History Check (Act 34) PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151) FBI Fingerprint-Based Federal Criminal History Clearance (Act 114) Reliable attendance and transportation Professional communication skills Ability to work daytime school hours Candidates must demonstrate consistent reliability and professionalism throughout the hiring process. Preferred Qualifications College coursework in education, psychology, behavior analysis, or related field Enrollment in or plans to pursue a degree in a human services field Experience working with children or adolescents Interest in pursuing Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), BCaBA, or BCBA credentials Prior experience is valued, but reliability, coachability, and professionalism carry significant weight in hiring decisions.
