This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while fostering a warm, respectful environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients across various care settings. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Support patients with mobility and transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods, ensuring safety at all times. Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Maintain accurate care plans, document patient progress, and adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and autism support is advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications like HIPAA training or nursing home experience are a plus. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within diverse care environments.
