Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature regularly Support medication administration according to care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding as needed Help with mobility and transfers using proper techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior, especially in cases involving dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor health status effectively Experience with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or caring for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in manual handling or the use of Hoyer lifts is advantageous Familiarity with patient rights, HIPAA compliance, medication administration, and care planning processes Ability to assist with mobility using proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration in home & community care environments Join us to provide compassionate caregiving that truly makes a difference!
