Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Care Worker and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized support and compassionate care. In this vital role, you will provide at 40 to 84 hours/ week assistance with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure safety and well-being for residents across various care settings. Whether working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or home care environments, you will be the compassionate presence that helps individuals thrive. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence Support medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans and medical guidelines Help with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs to ensure proper nourishment Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism, or other disabilities Operate assistive devices including Hoyer lifts and wheelchairs safely while adhering to safety protocols Maintain accurate documentation of care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and update resident care plans regularly Support residents' behavioral management and conflict resolution through compassionate communication and behavior management techniques Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and basic patient care procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities related to resident transportation if required Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable Strong communication skills for effective social work, case management, and conflict management Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support individuals with disabilities or age-related conditions Join us in providing exceptional care that enhances quality of life!
