Are you the most reliable Shift Lead, Floor Supervisor, or veteran caregiver at your job, and are looking for your next step? Safe Hands Warm Hearts is looking for a battle-tested care professional ready to step up and into operational leadership. We are a fast-growing home care enterprise and to drive our expansion in Jackson County, we need a gritty, thick-skinned operator who knows what elite care looks like and knows how to hold a team accountable to that standard.
The Mission:
You are the bridge between our clients, our field caregivers, and the external Case Managers (Wellwise, MDHHS, MCOs). Your goal is to ensure stability for our clients by recruiting, managing, and retaining a highly reliable caregiver team while ruthlessly protecting our compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Caregiver Management & Accountability:
Interview, hire, and train caregivers in the Lansing area. You know a good caregiver from a bad one in the first five minutes of an interview. You will set firm boundaries, enforce standards, and act as their primary leader.
Complex Scheduling & Logistics:
Manage weekly schedules accounting for drive time, geography, and caregiver availability. When a call-off happens, you use our systems, our software, and our float pool to solve the puzzle quickly to ensure 100% shift coverage.
Compliance & Technology:
Ensure all care provided strictly matches the authorized care plan. You will drive our Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) metrics and utilize HHAExchange to track your territory's performance.
Relationship Building:
Act as the primary liaison for families and external Case Managers (specifically Wellwise and local MCOs). Provide proactive updates and handle inquiries professionally to drive new referrals.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
You have deep, hands-on experience in the caregiving field (facilities, group homes, or home care) and understand the gritty reality of caring for seniors or individuals with behavioral challenges.
Thick-Skinned & Boundary-Setting:
You are not afraid to hold caregivers accountable for being late or failing to clock in. You lead with compassion but operate with firm boundaries.
Tech-Savvy:
You are highly comfortable using mobile scheduling apps, CRMs, Teams, and digital documentation.
Local Network:
You possess a strong understanding of the Jackson County healthcare landscape and ideally have an existing network of reliable care professionals you can recruit.
