Job Overview We are seeking energetic and reliable Caregivers for on-call positions with guaranteed hours during weekdays and weekends. This role offers flexible scheduling options to accommodate your availability while making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve. As a Caregiver, you will deliver essential personal care, assist with daily activities, and provide companionship to clients across various settings, including private homes, assisted living, and memory care communities. Duties Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, eating, and medication reminders while ensuring resident's rights are respected. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, reporting changes in condition, and maintaining accurate care plans. Support clients with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being, especially for individuals with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders like autism. Facilitate patient transfers using manual handling techniques and ensure safe patient transportation within the home or community. Document all care activities thoroughly and communicate effectively with team members regarding patient status and needs. Qualifications Prior experience working in hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and patient monitoring techniques. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other equipment. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training in HIPAA compliance and patient safety is essential. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus. Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and personal transportation assistance.
