Job Title:
Lead Caregiver & Office Coordinator Company:
Home Helpers Home Care of Kirkland Location:
40 Lake Bellevue Dr Suite 100 Bellevue, WA 98005 (Requires travel throughout our service area)
Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour (Based on experience and qualifications)
Job Type:
Full-Time Schedule:
Monday - Friday, ideal hours 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM (with flexibility). Weekends as needed and participation in a rotating after-hours/weekend on-call schedule required. About the Role Home Helpers Home Care is looking for an experienced, highly dependable caregiver who wants a broader role supporting clients, caregivers, and our office team. This is not a traditional caregiver position. The Lead Caregiver & Office Coordinator is a flexible field and operations role for someone who can step in wherever support is most needed. You may help start a new client's care, introduce and orient the caregivers, complete a quality supervisory visit, provide emergency caregiving coverage for call offs, assist with scheduling, or help in the office when another team member is out. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, handles changing priorities well, and wants to grow beyond the traditional caregiving role, but still providing hands-on care at times. We need you to confidently introduce yourself to a client, help a caregiver succeed with that client, recognize when the plan of care needs to change, communicate effectively with the office, and step in when issues arise.
What You'll Do Client Onboarding & Support:
Help new clients get off to a strong start, including caregiver introductions, initial shifts, and follow-up support.
Field Coverage:
Call off support when needed.
Caregiver Mentorship:
Coach and support caregivers in client homes. Update care plans, train the caregivers on the plan of care and ensure safe caregiving practices.
Training & Orientation:
Assist with caregiver orientation and hands-on training.
Quality Assurance:
Complete client quality visits and check-ins as assigned. Help identify and resolve concerns related to caregiver fit, client satisfaction, safety, or service quality.
Office Operations:
Assist with scheduling, caregiver coordination, client-care support, and other office responsibilities during staff absences or busy periods.
Communication & Admin:
Communicate clearly with clients, families, caregivers, and office staff. Document visits, observations, training, and follow-up concerns.
On-Call Availability:
Participate in a rotating after-hours and weekend on-call schedule.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications:
Credentials:
Active Washington State Home Care Aide (HCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
Core Caregiving Skills:
Strong hands-on caregiving experience with comfort handling a variety of client needs, including personal care, dementia care , mobility assistance , transfers, veterans and higher-care clients.
Logistics:
Valid driver's license , current auto insurance, reliable transportation, and a willingness to travel throughout our service area.
Professional Skills:
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using basic technology for scheduling, communication, and documentation. Knowledge of Wellsky is a plus.
Traits:
Reliability, ability to work independently, and the flexibility to move seamlessly between field caregiving, training, scheduling, and office assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience training, mentoring, or supervising caregivers. Home-care scheduling or care-coordination experience. Experience conducting client quality visits or caregiver observations. Previous lead or field-support experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, or a related setting.
Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
