The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in providing support and care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through effective communication, individualized care plans, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. The QIDP will play a vital role in ensuring that clients receive the highest standard of care tailored to their unique needs. Duties Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for clients with intellectual disabilities. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in accordance with medical guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to coordinate comprehensive care strategies. Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' needs and progress, adjusting care plans as necessary. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress notes, and incident reports using appropriate medical terminology. Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices in working with individuals with disabilities. Experience Developing and implementing individualized care plans for clients with intellectual disabilities. Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is essential, particularly in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and the ability to interpret medical terminology is required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
