Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote comfort and dignity Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and updating care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support residents with mobility using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safety during movement Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities to enhance mental health and cognitive function Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Document care activities accurately, communicate effectively with healthcare teams, and adhere to all protocols related to home health, hospice care, or assisted living environments Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or senior care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly Knowledge of care techniques including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and hospice support Ability to operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, blood pressure monitors, and other patient monitoring tools Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals effectively Familiarity with HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, patient transfers, and assisting with mobility needs CPR and First Aid certification to respond swiftly in emergencies Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly valued Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility based on client needs Embark on a rewarding career where your compassion fuels positive change.
