Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of daily living care. In this vital role, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance the quality of life for clients across various care settings, including home health, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. Your energy and attentiveness will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve, fostering a warm and supportive environment that encourages dignity and well-being. Responsibilities Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, medication reminders, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly Support clients with meal preparation, and nutritional needs to ensure proper diet and hydration Help with mobility and transfer techniques using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety during movement Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, patient observations, medication administration, and other relevant records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or neurodevelopmental disorders Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning personal spaces and common areas to uphold hygiene standards Experience Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with medication administration Experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support needs, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is advantageous Knowledge of dementia care, memory care strategies, hospice care practices, and Alzheimer's care is beneficial Familiarity with manual handling techniques including heavy lifting and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts is essential Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to healthcare or caregiving are a plus Strong communication skills for client interaction and teamwork within caregiving environments are necessary Join us as a Personal Caregiver to make a positive impact every day!
