Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive support to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, coordinate healthcare needs, and ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance Support with medication administration and monitoring vital signs in accordance with care plans Provide patient observation and monitor health status to ensure safety and well-being Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with meal planning Support clients with transportation to appointments, errands, or community activities Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including resident's rights and care plans Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment Use proper patient transfer methods, including Hoyer lifts and other manual handling techniques Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all client information Respond promptly to emergencies by providing first aid or CPR as needed Engage in effective communication with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications in medication administration or patient monitoring are a plus Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or geriatrics is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely for patient transfers or mobility assistance Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety assessment Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation Ability to work independently while following established care plans and procedures Compassionate attitude with a commitment to respecting residents' rights and dignity This position provides an enriching opportunity for caregivers committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.
