Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for clients requiring assistance with daily activities and health management. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver personalized, attentive care in a supportive environment, ensuring clients maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be an integral part of the client's daily routine, offering both medical support and emotional companionship. This position is paid and requires a commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging atmosphere for those in your care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medications accurately, and documenting medical records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and well-being Support clients with memory care needs including Alzheimer's disease and dementia by implementing specialized care techniques and ensuring a safe environment Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring the home remains safe and comfortable for the client Maintain clear communication with healthcare providers regarding patient status, medical documentation, and updates on client progress Respond promptly to emergencies by applying first aid or basic life support (BLS) techniques like CPR when needed Requirements Proven experience working as a caregiver in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings with geriatric or disabled populations Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, catheter care, and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with home health care regulations including HIPAA standards for patient privacy and confidentiality Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in hospice care or end-of-life support are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions like Alzheimer's or dementia is highly desirable Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Valid driver's license preferred if transportation is involved; must be reliable and punctual Join us in making a meaningful difference by providing compassionate care that enhances lives.
