Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to clients in their homes. As a Home Care Aide at Empowered Living Home Care, you play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing compassionate, non-medical support in their homes. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, promoting a safe and comfortable environment, and fostering meaningful relationships with clients and their families. By supporting independence and maintaining dignity, you are an essential part of the Empowered Living team, delivering care that aligns with our mission to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

Responsibilities Personal Care:

Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Support clients with mobility, including transfers from beds, chairs, or wheelchairs.

Household Assistance:

Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying living areas. Assist with grocery shopping, running errands, and other household tasks.

Companionship:

Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life. Foster a positive and supportive relationship with clients and their families.

Medication and Safety Support:

Provide medication reminders to ensure adherence to prescribed routines. Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional condition to the Care Coordinator. Maintain a safe and clean environment in clients' homes.

Transportation Assistance:

Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and errands as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in caregiving or home care preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if providing transportation services). Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the workday. Capability to assist clients with mobility and perform household tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation. Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and work in varying home environments.
