In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to clients in their homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that each client receives the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. Whether assisting with daily activities or monitoring health conditions, you'll be a trusted partner in fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with medication administration according to care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community outings to promote social engagement and independence. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, medication schedules, and updates to care plans. Support clients with specialized needs including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism spectrum support, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, geriatrics, or senior care environments. Familiarity with assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, home health services, and long-term care settings. Ability to effectively communicate with clients and their families while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards. Skilled in manual handling techniques such as patient transfers using Hoyer lifts or other transfer methods; capable of heavy lifting when necessary. Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders requires patience and adaptability. Certifications in CPR and First Aid are essential for ensuring immediate response during emergencies.
