Wellness Director Position Summary The Resident Assistant plays a vital role in supporting residents with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, safety, and overall well-being. This position provides compassionate care and meaningful engagement to residents in an assisted living or memory care environment. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including: Ambulation and transfers Bathing and personal hygiene Dressing and grooming Incontinence care Feeding assistance and medication reminders Engage residents in group and one-on-one activities that encourage socialization and wellness. Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident living spaces. Assist with laundry, housekeeping tasks, and meal service as needed. Monitor and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition. Accurately document resident care and observations. Respond promptly to resident requests, emergency call systems, and family inquiries. Follow all safety, infection control, emergency response, and company policies. Attend required training sessions and team meetings. Support a positive, resident-centered community culture. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years old. Previous experience in assisted living, memory care, caregiving, or senior services preferred. CNA certification preferred but not required. Knowledge of dementia and memory care practices preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and professionalism. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout shifts. Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents, up to 50 pounds. Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
