Overview We are actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Weekend Only Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. As a Weekend Only Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence within a respectful and nurturing environment. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall well-being. Support residents with mobility and transfers using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control protocols. Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and care plan guidelines. Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive atmosphere for clients during weekend shifts. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience working in healthcare or caregiving environments, ideally with familiarity in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings. Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities is highly valued. Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient transfer methods. Additional qualifications include familiarity with care plans, resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid. Prior exposure to hospice care or geriatrics is advantageous. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting diverse populations requiring long-term or short-term care while maintaining professionalism and compassion at all times.
