Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care and support for individuals with diverse needs. This vital role involves delivering personalized assistance to promote independence, safety, and well-being within a comfortable living environment. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will be an integral part of creating a nurturing atmosphere that enhances the quality of life for those you serve, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to foster independence and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to healthcare professionals. Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, supporting overall health and wellness. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation, especially for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and household tasks. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely during transfers or mobility assistance. Follow prescribed care plans meticulously while collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Support residents in community engagement activities or outings to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Uphold all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures, ready to respond effectively in emergencies such as hospice or hospice-related situations. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with care plans development and implementation tailored to individual requirements. Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely using devices like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Strong background in providing compassionate senior care and supporting patients through long-term or hospice care scenarios. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information at all times.
