Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to patients in various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical-surgical, geriatrics, or emergency medicine, and will be committed to delivering high-quality care to individuals in need. This role requires a strong understanding of patient needs and the ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to nursing staff. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following hygiene protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various settings including clinics, hospitals (Level I and Level II Trauma Centers), and specialized units such as PICU. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to patient care. Experience Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics, inpatient care, and emergency medicine is highly desirable. Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Hours:
(Part-time) 5hrs on M, W, F
  • 15hrs/week.
  • Client needs assistance with housekeeping, meals, and errands/shopping
