Job Overview As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This position requires compassion, patience, and a commitment to providing exceptional care. You will work closely with clients in various settings such as assisted living facilities, group homes, or private residences, ensuring their comfort and safety while respecting their rights and dignity. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide support with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure client safety. Monitor and document vital signs to maintain accurate health records. Ensure adherence to resident rights and promote independence among clients. Administer first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by following proper hygiene practices. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices. Experience in assisted living or group home settings is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques. Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
