Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development. Ensure the safety of all individuals in your care by adhering to childhood development best practices and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns. Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure immediate response to emergencies. Support children with behavioral management strategies that encourage positive behavior and emotional regulation. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, homework help, and nap times. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Demonstrated ability to supervise children safely while engaging them in meaningful activities. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Experience with activity planning tailored to different age groups including infants, preschoolers, and school-age children. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential. Previous experience in daycare, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs enhances your candidacy.
