Responsibilities Provide attentive supervision and care for children across various age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and social interaction. Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring safety at all times. Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns. Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance to foster independence. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards. Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety issues. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and bedtime for young children. Collaborate with families and team members to create tailored care plans that meet individual needs. Skills Extensive experience working with children across different developmental stages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Proficiency in activity planning tailored to children's interests and developmental needs. Certification in first aid and CPR from an accredited organization is required. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable. Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques. Classroom or daycare experience demonstrating competence in caregiving environments. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety is essential.
