About Andersons Caregiving Home Andersons Caregiving Home is a small, residential caregiving home dedicated to providing a safe haven for a balanced, joyful life. Unlike a large facility environment, our home is intentionally limited to 3 residents, allowing our team to provide highly personalized attention and maintain an exceptional 3:1 resident-to-caregiver ratio. We believe residents deserve to feel at home, not like they are living in a facility. Our approach centers on dignity, individualized routines, meaningful relationships, family involvement, and a peaceful environment. Our home is supported by daily oversight from Jannie Booker, RN, and our team works together to provide attentive, compassionate care to every resident. Position Summary The Resident Care Attendant is responsible for providing compassionate, dependable, and individualized support to residents while helping maintain a clean, peaceful, safe, and welcoming home environment. The ideal candidate is patient, trustworthy, observant, respectful, and genuinely enjoys caring for others. Because we serve a very small number of residents, this position offers the opportunity to truly know each resident as an individual and provide care based on their unique needs, preferences, routines, and personality. Key Responsibilities Resident Care & Daily Living Support Provide compassionate, respectful assistance with residents daily care needs. Assist residents with personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and other activities of daily living as appropriate to their care plan and training. Promote resident dignity, independence, comfort, and choice. Follow each residents individualized care routine rather than treating residents according to a one-size-fits-all schedule. Observe residents closely and promptly communicate changes in condition, behavior, appetite, mood, mobility, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor/RN. Provide appropriate assistance with meals, hydration, and nutrition according to established instructions. Maintain a safe environment and respond promptly to resident needs. Companionship & Quality of Life Build genuine, respectful relationships with residents. Encourage conversation, social interaction, hobbies, and participation in activities. Help create the warm, family-like atmosphere that makes Andersons Caregiving Home feel like home. Support and participate in daily activities such as: Movie nights Baking Gardening Painting Crocheting Karaoke Interactive games Special themed and career day activities Encourage residents to remain engaged, active, and connected. Home Environment Help maintain a clean, organized, comfortable, and peaceful home. Assist with laundry, linens, dishes, light housekeeping, and other routine household tasks as assigned. Help maintain resident rooms and common areas in a manner that supports comfort, dignity, and safety. Contribute to a calm environment free from unnecessary noise, confusion, and disruption. Communication & Documentation Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, observations, and resident needs as required. Communicate professionally with residents, families, coworkers, and the supervising nurse. Follow individualized care plans, facility procedures, safety practices, and applicable regulations. Protect resident privacy and confidentiality. Work collaboratively with the care team and follow direction from nursing/management staff. Our home is intentionally limited to 3 residents, allowing our caregivers to provide the kind of personal attention that can be difficult to achieve in a traditional facility.

Preferred Previous caregiving, personal care, assisted living, home care, or similar experience. Experience working with older adults or individuals with cognitive or physical limitations.
