HolisticCare is seeking dependable team members with a desire to assist elderly patient's age at home. Full-time, Part-time, day and overnight shifts available, serving the Brenham, Bellville, and surrounding areas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital support in clients' homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted partner in delivering comprehensive care tailored to each person's unique needs, fostering a warm and respectful environment that encourages dignity and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and independence. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Support medication administration according to care plans and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Facilitate safe patient transfers using manual handling techniques or equipment such as Hoyer lifts, ensuring client safety at all times. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in meaningful activities to promote mental health and social interaction. Maintain a clean and organized home environment through regular cleaning duties, laundry assistance, and ensuring a safe living space. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, including developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), hospice care, and managing patients with complex medical needs. Familiarity with home health procedures including patient monitoring, medication administration, care plan implementation, and vital signs measurement. Ability to operate patient transfer devices like Hoyer lifts safely while adhering to manual handling protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Experience working with diverse populations such as individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities; supporting their unique needs with patience and professionalism. Competence in basic first aid and CPR certification to respond effectively during emergencies. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary while following safety procedures for both client and caregiver well-being.
