Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or personal cars to transport children on local routes and scheduled pickups/drop-offs Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols during every trip Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding schedules and any changes Assist children with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety at all times Conduct routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report any issues promptly to ensure optimal vehicle performance Manage loading/unloading of children with care, including heavy lifting of strollers or bags when necessary Provide engaging supervision and care during transit and afterschool activities to foster a positive environment Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur driving passenger vehicles such as vans or limousines Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with GPS navigation systems preferred Knowledge of local driving routes and familiarity with state transportation regulations for passenger vehicles Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills for client interaction and coordination with parents or guardians Customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus but not required Ability to adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies at all times This role offers an engaging environment where your driving skills directly impact the safety and happiness of children.
