Maternity Services Attendant/Provider - Overnight Shift Sol Primary Home Care LLC is seeking a calm, dependable, attentive, and responsible Attendant/Provider to assist a mother and newborn during overnight hours following the birth of her baby. This position is ideal for someone who is naturally calm and soothing, can remain awake and attentive throughout the entire overnight shift, and is comfortable assisting with a newborn and light household duties.

42.5 hours per week About the Position The client will be recovering from a C-section and will need overnight support with the newborn and light household responsibilities. The primary purpose of this position is to provide attentive overnight assistance so that the mother can rest between the baby's feeding needs. The ideal candidate should be calm, soothing, responsible, alert, dependable, and comfortable remaining awake throughout the entire shift. Primary Responsibilities Newborn & Overnight Support Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire shift. Monitor and respond appropriately when the newborn wakes. Assist the mother when the baby wakes for feeding. Safely bring the newborn to the mother for breastfeeding. After feeding, assist with holding the baby to burp as appropriate. Assist with settling the newborn back to sleep. Provide attentive support to the mother while she recovers from her C-section. Help maintain a calm and peaceful nighttime environment. Be attentive to the baby's needs and communicate any concerns to the mother/agency according to established procedures. Light Household Responsibilities During periods when the baby and mother are resting, the attendant may perform light household duties such as: Washing and cleaning baby bottles. Cleaning and organizing baby's bibs and other baby-related items. Washing baby blankets and other light laundry. Folding and putting away light laundry. Light sweeping, tidying, and general household maintenance. Keeping baby-related areas clean and organized. Staying productive and maintaining awareness of the household and newborn. Important Overnight Requirement The attendant must remain awake and alert throughout the entire overnight shift. This position is not appropriate for someone who has difficulty staying awake at night or who intends to sleep during the shift. We are looking for someone who can remain attentive to the newborn while also staying productive with light household duties when the baby and mother are resting. Because the attendant will be working closely with the client and her newborn, selected candidates will have a second interview with the client. The client will participate in the final selection process and determine which attendant she feels is the best fit for her family. Applicants must be comfortable participating in both the agency interview and, if selected, a second interview with the client. Pre-Employment Requirements Because this position involves overnight care and support for a postpartum mother and newborn, all applicants must meet the agency's applicable hiring and screening requirements. A background check will be conducted as part of the agency's pre-employment screening process. Applicants must provide letters of recommendation from previous childcare, nanny, newborn-care, home-care, or other related employment experiences. Letters of recommendation should preferably be from previous employers, families, supervisors, or other professional references who can speak to the applicant's reliability, responsibility, character, and experience working with children. Previous experience working with newborns, infants, toddlers, or families is strongly required. Applicants must be able to provide professional references upon request. Candidates must successfully complete all applicable agency hiring and onboarding requirements before beginning services. Applicants must be able to remain awake and alert for the entire overnight shift. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.
