This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, is comfortable assisting a postpartum mother, and can help maintain a safe and organized home environment.

42.5 hours per week About the Position The client will be recovering from a C-section and is requesting an attendant who can provide supportive assistance with her daily needs, newborn, 2-year-old toddler, and light household duties. The ideal candidate should be energetic, attentive, patient, nurturing, and comfortable caring for both a newborn and a toddler. Primary Responsibilities 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM | Mother, Newborn & Home Support During the first portion of the shift, responsibilities may include: Providing attentive support to the mother while she recovers from delivery. Assisting the mother with safely getting to and from the restroom as needed. Providing supportive assistance while the mother gets in and out of the shower, as appropriate and within the authorized duties. Watching and attending to the newborn while the mother showers or attends to personal needs. Assisting with bringing the newborn to the mother for feeding. Providing assistance with the newborn while the mother is recovering. Performing light household maintenance related to the client's needs. Sweeping, mopping, tidying, and other light household duties. Helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM | Toddler & Family Support The toddler returns home from school around 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities may include:

Greeting and assisting the toddler after school. Preparing a simple meal or snack for the toddler. Assisting with the toddler's routine and activities. Providing supervision and support while the mother attends to the newborn. Helping keep the toddler occupied and engaged while the newborn sleeps or the mother is settling the baby. Assisting with maintaining a safe and organized environment. Providing nurturing, patient, and attentive support to the toddler. Approximately 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM | Evening Routine Assist with the toddler's evening routine. Help prepare the toddler for bathing. Provide appropriate assistance during the toddler's bath routine. Help settle the toddler down for bedtime. Assist the mother with evening household needs as authorized. Help with light tidying and maintaining the home. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Energetic and active Patient and nurturing with young children Comfortable around newborns and toddlers Dependable and punctual Attentive to the needs of a postpartum mother Comfortable performing light household duties Organized and able to stay busy throughout the shift Respectful of the client's home, privacy, and parenting preferences Able to follow instructions and the client's authorized service plan Professional and compassionate Experienced in childcare, newborn care, home care, or caregiving preferred Newborn/childcare experience is strongly preferred. Because this position involves working closely with the client and her children, the client will have the opportunity to conduct a second interview with selected candidates and participate in the final selection of the attendant. Previous experience working with newborns, infants, toddlers, or families is strongly required. Applicants must be able to provide professional references upon request. Candidates must successfully complete all applicable agency hiring and onboarding requirements before beginning services. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.
