Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to residents or clients. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean environment. Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs, reporting changes in condition, and following care plans tailored to individual needs. Support residents with mobility using proper patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety during movement. Engage clients through meaningful communication, companionship, and participation in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided while respecting resident's rights and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe and timely arrival. Requirements Prior experience working with individuals in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes is required. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care including Alzheimer's and memory care strategies, and hospice or home health experience is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and use patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts; manual handling skills are essential. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams while respecting residents' rights. Familiarity with HIPAA standards to ensure confidentiality and privacy at all times. Flexibility to work evenings from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, overnights, or weekends as scheduled.
