Home Instead is seeking an experienced, compassionate caregiver for a day position with a male client in Cuero, TX. This is a rewarding 1-on-1 role supporting an active, engaging quadriplegic gentleman who lives independently and values his routine.

Key Responsibilities Mobility Support:

Perform morning transfers using a Hoyer Lift . Assist with repositioning in his electric wheelchair (client is prone to spasms).

Personal Care:

Full hands-on assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, emptying a foley bag, and medication reminders.

Daily Living & Housekeeping:

Prepare meals (including morning fruit smoothies), laundry, dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, and dusting.

Activity Support:

Help him hook up to his workout machines and carefully drive his specialized van for errands.

Companionship:

Engage in conversation—our client loves to chat and interact with his team! Requirements Must have prior Hoyer Lift and hands-on mobility experience. Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical caregiving tasks.

Pet-friendly:

Must be comfortable around dogs and cats. A valid driver's license and a careful driving record to operate the client's wheelchair van. Compassionate, reliable, and strong communication skills.
