Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, recognizing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary. Support medication administration following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy. Facilitate safe patient transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods while practicing manual handling safety standards. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment that promotes mental well-being and resident engagement. Qualifications Prior experience working with individuals with autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is desirable. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, care plans, medication administration, and resident's rights is essential. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in hospice care or geriatrics is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks confidently while adhering to safety protocols. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
