Toileting:
Using the bathroom safely.
Transferring:
Moving between a bed, chair, or wheelchair.
Eating:
Feeding oneself.
Continence:
Managing bowel and bladder control. [1, 2, 3] Instrumental ADLs to Include Light Housekeeping
Light Housekeeping:
Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping counters.
Dishwashing:
Washing and putting away kitchen dishes.
Laundry:
Washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes.
Meal Preparation:
Cooking and food setup.
Shopping:
Getting groceries and household supplies.
Medication Reminders:
Organizing and timing doses
