  • $15 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Referral program Qualifications Computer operation Spanish Child behavior management Conflict de-escalation High school diploma or GED Providing care for residents Driver's License Experience working with children Direct support Computer skills Full Job Description Minimum Qualifications Direct Care Staff Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess a High School Diploma/GED with at least two years of experience working with children with behavioral or emotional needs in a residential, social-service, educational, institutional, paraprofessional, volunteer, or internship setting; OR have at least 30 college semester hours and one year of relevant experience working with children.
Applicants must have effective written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, emotional self-control, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to appropriately manage conflict and behavioral situations. Candidates must be physically and emotionally capable of performing direct-care responsibilities and working with a diverse population. A valid driver's license is required. Applicants must successfully complete required criminal background checks, drug screening, and other applicable employment/licensing clearances . Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply but bilingual ability is not required.
