Duties Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun while adhering to age-appropriate standards. Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, dressing, and nap times in a safe and caring manner. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns. Ensure safety by applying child supervision best practices, managing behavior with positive reinforcement, and following mandated reporting laws when necessary. Administer basic first aid and CPR in case of emergencies to ensure the health and safety of all individuals in your care. Collaborate with team members to create individualized care plans that meet each child's unique needs and developmental milestones. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively through positive discipline strategies. Strong communication skills to foster open dialogue with parents, guardians, and team members. Experience in toddler care, preschooler care, or nannying is desirable; familiarity with activity planning for children is a plus. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Enthusiastic about teaching young children through engaging activities that support their growth and curiosity.
