Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Attendant Services Care-Givers to provide exceptional support and care to individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will assist clients with daily activities, monitor their well-being, and promote independence within a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Support mobility and transfer techniques using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods to ensure safety Administer medications following care plans and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Engage clients in meaningful activities, providing companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and hospice or palliative care practices Familiarity with medical procedures such as taking vital signs, medication administration, CPR/First Aid certification, and manual handling techniques including heavy lifting Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities support is advantageous Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards Physical stamina to perform patient transfers, assist with mobility, and handle manual handling tasks safely Valid certifications in CPR/First Aid are required; additional certifications related to geriatrics or home & community care are a plus Join us in delivering compassionate care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
