Job Description

•Immediate Positions Available•$17.00-18.00 /hour
Available Shift:
Monday thru Wednesday 10 am - 7pm Saturday & Sunday 7:30am - 4:30pm 6-month (or longer) contract MUST be bilingual MUST have professional caregiving experience for a minimum of one year Experience working with behavioral health preferred Seeking Caregivers with the ability to help intellectually disabled individuals achieve their daily goals. Responsibilities can vary, and may include grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, observing, and reporting conditions, working with residents that have behaviors, companionship, engaging activities, participating in training and treatment programs for both male and females.
Essential Job Functions:
Assist persons with completing their activities of daily living and vocational skills Provide behavior intervention by following the recommended behavior intervention techniques to ensure that persons served are protected from injury and harm due to abuse/ neglect, serious injuries, sexual incidents, and all other sources of immediate danger and provides emergency care as needed Assist with overseeing the delivery of therapeutic and individualized training in accordance with the individual's active treatment program, document their progress Assist persons served (both male and female) with carrying out necessary self-care skills (activities of daily living, bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding and grooming) Ensure persons served are in a safe environment by correcting any hazards found and reporting them to home supervisor Observe persons served for signs and symptoms of disease, injury, reactions to medication, or other conditions that require medical intervention. Assist in transporting of individuals going on scheduled activities Prevent or manager aggressive behavior among individuals Administer CPR in emergency situations Other duties as assigned included but not limited to actively participating and serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/ or recovery or continuity of operations activation.
