Job Description
•We are currently looking to fill weekend needs•Coverage is needed on both Saturday and/or Sundays. Schedule is made 30-45 days in advance and it very flexible. This is an in-home care position, working closely with the family, and there are 3 dogs in the home (all very friendly) that you will be exposed to, so please note this prior to applying. You wold be caring for a 21 year old female who is a quadriplegic. Work as few as 2 shifts a month or more if desired. Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, diaper changes, and mobility support to include transfers with a slide board or electronic lift system. Support medication administration Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning Use specialized equipment for safe patient transfers and mobility assistance Drive and accompany her to appointments, social events, and to /from work. Qualifications Previous experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. We are willing to train the person (future nursing school student or someone highly passionate about caregiving). Certification in First Aid/ CPR is required; and can be supplied if needed Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while maintaining compassion and patience. Non-smoker Valid drivers license
