Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, conducting patient assessments, and reporting changes promptly Administer medications and manage care plans in accordance with healthcare protocols and HIPAA regulations Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, or neurodevelopmental disorders Operate patient transfer equipment like Hoyer lifts and facilitate safe manual handling during patient transfers Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal consumption when necessary Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring a safe environment Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable Demonstrated experience in patient observation, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and autism support enhances your ability to provide specialized assistance Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards is essential for safeguarding patient information Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques is preferred Background in geriatrics, developmental disabilities support, or long-term care settings supports effective caregiving practices Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to healthcare or caregiving are advantageous Join us to make a meaningful difference every day!
