Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide immediate support to a client in Kaufman. Responsibilities Assist the client with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor the client's health status by observing vital signs and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Support the client with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA privacy standards Help with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or errands, ensuring safety during transfers using appropriate patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques Engage in meaningful communication to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being, especially when caring for individuals with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders Skills Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation techniques, patient monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Proficiency in assisting with ADLs and using patient transfer methods safely Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs measurement, CPR, first aid, and HIPAA regulations Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation while maintaining hygiene standards Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is a plus Join us in providing exceptional care that enhances lives!
