Job Information Client Name Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas Contact Email george.vest@tctexas.org Date Opened 07/24/2026 Job Type Full time Industry Faith Based Residential Recovery City Kingsville State/Province Texas Country United States Zip/Postal Code 78363 Job Description The Kitchen/Direct Care at the Coastal Bend Men's Campus will lead students in the Kitchen, Prepare Menus, Shopping lists and keep track of Food inventory, maintain a clean and safe environment, as well as monitor all Kitchen Equipment (Temperatures for Fridges/Freezers, ensure ovens, fryers, etc are in working order or requests submitted for repair/replacement) Will also be assigned Direct Care work on and off Campus, Leading On/Off Campus Work Details when Scheduled.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but not be limited to: Lead prayer Engage in religious instruction Participate in campus events and chapels as required Prepare meals for the students Maintain a clean kitchen which is at or above all standards set by the state Order supplies for the kitchen and maintains an adequate inventory Create healthy menus appropriate for students, including those with dietary issues Serve the food
Direct Care:
Supervision (following staff check off list responsibilities), mentoring, and interacting with residents during various activities, which may include but is not limited to TC Curriculum, on/off Campus Work Details, free time, and recreational activities. Administer discipline as is necessary according to Student Guidelines Minister to students as opportunity arises and/or during scheduled sessions Become a mentor to students All other duties as assigned by Director or Program Manager Requirements Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and spiritual maturity Agreement with Assemblies of God doctrine and ATC mission Heart for people struggling with addiction Texas Food Handlers License (Already have, or test for one upon hiring) Willingness to complete Biblical Counseling training Strong communication and relational skills Ability to work as part of a team and stay organized Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
