This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by delivering personalized care tailored to their unique needs. Candidates will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence within a respectful and nurturing environment. Flexibility to work on weekdays and weekends is essential, as is a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Support patients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met and accommodating dietary restrictions. Utilize manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Document care activities meticulously and update care plans regularly in compliance with healthcare standards. Engage in patient observation to identify potential issues early, especially in individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Support residents' social and emotional well-being through compassionate interaction and engagement. Experience Candidates should possess prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodegenerative conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease is highly valued. Familiarity with care techniques including hospice care, memory care strategies, and long-term care practices is preferred. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in patient monitoring. Candidates should also have experience and possess strong caregiving skills that promote safety, independence, and dignity for clients across diverse settings.
