Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Residential Counselor to join our team and provide exceptional care and support to residents in a residential setting during overnight hours. In this vital role, you will ensure the safety, well-being, and comfort of individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring memory or dementia care. Responsibilities Monitor residents overnight to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Observe and record vital signs and health status as needed, reporting any concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors. Provide compassionate assistance with medication administration following proper protocols. Support residents with dementia or cognitive disabilities through behavior management and engagement strategies. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards. Document resident interactions, incidents, and care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies. Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or residential care settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care, dementia care, and geriatrics is advantageous. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training is supported. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is beneficial. Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely when needed for resident outings or errands. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and resident transfers safely. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork.
