Job Description

At Assisting Hands Home Care, caregiving is more than a job, it's a calling. We are currently hiring full-time caregivers who are ready to work immediately and are comfortable supporting higher-acuity clients , including those who are bed-bound or living with Alzheimer's and dementia . This role is best suited for caregivers who are physically capable, dependable, and experienced with hands-on care , including mobility assistance and transfers. This position is not for people seeking "just another paycheck." The work can be emotionally demanding, and it requires patience, integrity, and a servant-hearted mindset. Requirements:
Minimum 20-30 hours/week consistently Reliable attendance (low call-out rate) Willing to take recurring clients Responsive within set time window (ex: 1-2 hours)
What We Offer Pay:
$14

Hours Available :
2-hour shifts to 12-hour shifts/ Overnights available Mileage Reimbursement for all client-related driving

  • Become a Lead Caregiver Key Requirements (Read Carefully) Full-time availability required (no PRN/part-time) Must have Consistent Reliable Transportation (this is a core duty) Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance Experience with dementia and/or Alzheimer's care (strongly preferred) Experience with bed-bound clients and mobility assistance (preferred) Hoyer lift and transfer experience (or willingness to learn quickly) At least 1 year of professional caregiving OR 2 years of family caregiving (ADLs) Must be reliable, responsive, and ready to work.
What You'll Do Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care Mobility support including transfers, repositioning, and fall prevention Use of Hoyer lifts and other transfer equipment (when required) Provide care for bed-bound clients , ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity Support clients with Alzheimer's and dementia , including redirection and routine care Drive clients to appointments, errands, and outings Meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship Light housekeeping and maintaining a safe environment Who This Role Is For This position is ideal for caregivers who: Are comfortable with physically active, hands-on care Prefer steady, full-time hours and staying busy Have experience or are confident learning Hoyer lifts, transfers, and high-assist care Are patient, dependable, and calm under pressure , especially with memory care clients Take pride in providing reliable, high-quality care every shift At Assisting Hands, we build consistent, full schedules with multiple clients giving you more hours, more stability, and the opportunity to make a bigger impact. A) Less than 1 year caregiving experience OR limited availability. B) 1-2 years caregiving experience, consistent and dependable schedule. C) 3-10+ years of professional caregiving experience, open and flexible schedule. A client who is bed-bound develops a new red, painful area on their lower back. What should you do first? A) Assess the area, report to the nurse or supervisor immediately, and follow the care plan to prevent worsening. B) Apply a topical cream or reposition the client yourself, then continue with tasks.
