Job Description

Caregiver Position Summary:
As a Caregiver , you will be responsible for providing in-home care services to clients in need of assistance with daily living activities. You will work under the supervision of a program Manager/Supervisor and provide care according to the client's individualized care plan. This position requires reliable transportation and flexibility in scheduling. The following tasks are inclusive, but not limited to be performed by the provider:
Responsibilities:
Assisting with personal care, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Helping with mobility, transfers, and exercises. Preparing meals and helping with feeding. Administering medication under the direction of a healthcare professional. Monitoring vital signs and health status, and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Providing companionship and social support. Assisting with household chores, such as cleaning, laundry, and dishes. Running errands, such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions. Helping with transportation to medical appointments or social outings. Providing basic first aid and emergency care. Maintaining a safe and clean environment for the client. Providing respite care for family members or other caregivers. Assisting with communication, such as reading or writing letters or emails. Facilitating participation in hobbies or interests. Providing memory care support for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. Documenting daily care activities and communicating with healthcare professionals and family members. Encouraging independence and self-care as appropriate. Advocating for clients' needs and preferences. Providing end-of-life care and emotional support to clients and families. Continuously learning and updating skills and knowledge related to home care services.
