Job Overview We are seeking energetic and compassionate Direct Care Staff with RTC (Residential Treatment Center) experience to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities Monitor and observe patients closely, ensuring their safety and well-being through consistent patient observation and documentation. Implement behavior management strategies and behavioral interventions tailored to individual needs, utilizing crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques as necessary. Assist with medication administration following proper protocols, maintaining accurate medical records and documentation. Apply physical restraint techniques safely when required to prevent harm to patients or staff, adhering to established safety guidelines. Support psychiatric patient care by assisting with daily activities, therapeutic programs, and crisis intervention efforts. Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans and report any concerns promptly. Maintain a clean, organized environment while adhering to health and safety standards within mental health facilities or corrections medical clinics. Experience Prior acute care experience in psychiatric hospitals or mental health facilities is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, or substance use disorders. Knowledge of behavior management techniques, crisis intervention, and de-escalation strategies. Familiarity with medical terminology, patient monitoring procedures, and medication administration protocols. Experience working in correctional facility medical clinics or hospital settings is advantageous. Strong understanding of psychiatric care practices and patient observation methods. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications related to behavioral health or restraint techniques are a plus.
