Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability. Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive disabilities, implementing memory care strategies. Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and ensure proper documentation. Engage residents in social activities and group programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Maintain a safe environment through manual handling practices and safe patient lifting techniques to prevent injury. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and assisting with meal preparation to promote hygiene and comfort. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care, memory care, geriatrics, and behavior management techniques. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training in safe patient lifting practices is preferred. Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for resident transportation when necessary. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse populations. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks essential for resident support. Familiarity with resident's rights, medication administration protocols, and client communication best practices.
