Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Bilingual Caregiver, serving residents in the
TX 77316
area! This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to provide essential personal care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, and residents requiring memory or dementia care. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and maintaining detailed care plans aligned with resident needs. Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and ensure accurate documentation of medication administration and patient monitoring. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote overall well-being. Support residents during outings or appointments by providing personal transportation assistance and ensuring safe transfer procedures. Engage residents through meaningful activities that support cognitive health, including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring compliance with health standards. Communicate effectively with clients, family members, healthcare teams, and other caregivers to coordinate personalized care plans while respecting residents' rights. Respond promptly to emergencies by applying first aid or CPR when necessary, adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting or manual handling situations. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred, Not required. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Experience providing specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care as well as supporting individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, resident's rights, hospice care procedures, and long-term care practices. Proven ability to assist with ADLs using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other manual handling equipment. Background in geriatrics or senior care along with experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances your suitability for this role.
