Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately. Support medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption to meet individual dietary needs. Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, utilizing specialized techniques to enhance comfort and safety. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes. Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly. Knowledge of care plans, medication administration, and patient monitoring procedures. Ability to perform CPR and first aid confidently; experience with hospice or home health care is a plus. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and resident's rights to ensure privacy and dignity are maintained at all times. Competence in assisting with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other patient transfer methods safely. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within a caregiving environment.
