Job Description

~~Come join our Team!~~ Our agency is looking for Direct Care Professionals to work with individuals with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities in an ISS day activity center . Monday - Friday between 7:30am to 5:00pm. Prior experience with IDD, elder or memory care, or health care/caregiving related settings are encouraged to apply.

New Braunfels, Tx 78130 We are dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities through comprehensive care and personalized support. Our Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS) Program empowers participants by enhancing their daily skills and fostering meaningful social interactions. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated ISS staff members to join our team and make a significant impact on the lives of those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide individuals in daily activities both on-site and off-site under the supervision of the team lead. Daily assistance with ADLs, including personal hygiene, meal preparation during lunch and medication management. Supervision and engagement in the community with community activities such as bowling, movies, shopping, outings to parks or other local community activities. Reinforce life skills and independent training goals with person-centered approach. Ensure compliance with program standards and uphold resident rights at all times. Routinely clean and help maintain a healthy work environment. Communicate effectively with team lead and other ISS team members to foster a team environment. Reinforce safety protocols and participate in training related to individual needs/care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other staff to provide comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in the U.S Must have a valid Driver's License/ Car insurance Must pass a background check(s) Must provide proof of education (High School diploma/GED) OR 3 letters of reference and a competency exam allowed in lieu of education Preferred but not required: CPR/ First Aid; experience working with IDD; comfortable with reinforcing positive behavior management Join our team committed to empowering individuals through compassionate care, innovative programs, and community engagement!! Pay:
$11.00 - $13.00 per hour
