Job Description
Job Summary Are you someone who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of senior adults in our community? We are looking for caring, dependable caregivers with at least one year of recent caregiving experience (within the last 2 years) who have a heart for serving others. Our team provides non-medical in-home support that helps seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Responsibilities Deliver patient personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring using proper manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. Provide medication reminders to ensure proper adherence to medication schedule. Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, utilizing specialized techniques for safety and engagement. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or outings. Uphold residents' rights by respecting their autonomy, preferences, and confidentiality at all times. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas to promote a safe and hygienic environment. Provide respite care for family caregivers. Skills Proven experience working with senior/geriatric population. Strong background in geriatrics, hospice care, home health services, and in home care. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings. Experience working with residents who have Alzheimer's disease or dementia requiring specialized memory care strategies. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information; adept at maintaining accurate documentation. Capable of assisting with meal preparation and personal transportation needs while adhering to safety protocols. Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans while adapting to individual resident needs in a compassionate manner. Flexibility to work various shifts.
