Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Experienced Senior Caregiver to provide overnight care and support for our residents from 11pm to 7am. This vital role ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of individuals with diverse needs, including those with cognitive disabilities, dementia, and other long-term care requirements. As a senior caregiver, you will play a key part in creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment during nighttime hours, helping residents maintain their dignity and quality of life. Your energy, attention to detail, and empathetic approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Responsibilities Monitor residents' safety throughout the night by conducting regular visual checks and responding promptly to any alarms or emergencies. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including toileting, grooming, mobility support, and personal hygiene. Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by employing specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies. Operate manual handling equipment safely for resident transfers and repositioning to prevent injury. Maintain a clean, safe environment by completing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met during overnight shifts. Communicate effectively with team members, family members, and healthcare professionals to report changes in residents' conditions or concerns. Requirements Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or residential care settings with a focus on senior or long-term care. Strong knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, memory care techniques, and behavioral support strategies. Ability to assist with ADLs such as personal hygiene, mobility assistance, meal preparation, and medication administration. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required; ongoing training preferred. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and safe patient lifting practices to ensure resident safety during transfers. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is highly desirable. Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles if needed for resident transportation or errands. Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents respectfully and collaborating effectively with team members. Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
